Test (Sweet Music in Harlem) - all classes
Last day to submit independent reading reflection forms is May 24th.
Note: Students will no longer carry reading textbooks because they are carrying laptops from class to class. If a student wants to take a book home to use to reread or study, he/she may sign one out to take home and bring back the next day.
Students should be working on completing their independent reading. Remember the goal is 1,000 pages a marking period. Students must complete response forms when the finish reading the books. All reading forms can be downloaded from the "Links/Forms" tab.
Students should be completing any independent work they didn't finish in class. Students can find what they are missing by going into their binder in Newsela and Mybrainpop in Brainpop.
All students should be spending some time each day reading independently. A letter was sent home on the second day of school outlining the independent reading requirements. All parents signed and returned the bottom portion of the form. It is available under the Links/Forms tab. In addition, the prompts and response forms are also available under the Links/Forms tab.
Students are encouraged to bring earbuds to school to use while they are on the computers. They often have a video to watch, and while we do have some headphones, there are not enough for all students. Please do not bring expensive ones to school. The ones they sell at the Dollar Store are adequate.
